These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of DROPIN (“DROPIN,” “we,” “us”), a map-based app for finding, sharing, and organizing around skate, surf, BMX, blading, scooter, and climbing spots, operated by Disrupt Designs LLC. By creating an account or using DROPIN, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, don’t use the app.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to create a DROPIN account. If you’re under 18, you need a parent or guardian’s permission to use DROPIN and agree to these Terms on your behalf.
2. Your Account
You’re responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide (email, username, profile details) and for keeping your login credentials secure. You’re responsible for all activity that happens under your account. Let us know right away if you think someone else has accessed it.
3. Content You Submit
DROPIN lets you submit spots, photos, videos, notes, routes, and meet listings (“User Content”). You keep ownership of what you submit. By posting User Content, you grant DROPIN a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, display, reproduce, and distribute it within the app so other riders can see it.
You’re solely responsible for what you post. Don’t submit anything you don’t have the rights to, anything that infringes someone else’s intellectual property, or anything false, harassing, hateful, sexually explicit, or otherwise unlawful. We can remove content or suspend accounts that violate these Terms, at our discretion, without notice.
4. Assumption of Risk — Spots Are User-Submitted
Skating, surfing, BMX, blading, scooter riding, and climbing are inherently dangerous activities. Spot listings, difficulty ratings, access notes, and hazard information on DROPIN are submitted by other users — we do not inspect, verify, own, or maintain any spot, and conditions can change at any time without the listing being updated.
You use any spot, route, or meet information at your own risk. You’re responsible for assessing your own skill level, checking local access rules and trespassing laws, wearing appropriate safety gear, and using your own judgment before riding, filming, or climbing anywhere. DROPIN is not responsible for injury, death, property damage, or legal trouble arising from a spot listed in the app.
5. Meets
Meets are organized by users, not DROPIN. We’re not a party to and take no responsibility for what happens at a meet, including who shows up, how it’s run, or any injury or dispute that occurs there.
6. Rider+ and Advertiser Subscriptions
DROPIN offers optional paid plans (Rider+ for riders; Starter/Pro/Brand plans for advertisers). Subscriptions are billed through Stripe on a recurring basis until you cancel. You can cancel anytime from your profile or billing portal — cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and we don’t provide prorated refunds for partial periods except where required by law.
Advertiser accounts are responsible for the accuracy and legality of the ads and business information they submit. We can reject or remove ad content that’s misleading, unlawful, or off-platform for a skate/surf/action-sports audience.
7. Location & Push Notifications
Some features (centering the map on you, native push notifications for likes and account activity) require permission to access your device’s location or send notifications. These are always optional — you can deny or revoke them in your device settings at any time, and the core app keeps working without them.
8. Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to:
- Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with anyone
- Scrape, reverse-engineer, or bulk-extract data from DROPIN
- Upload malware or attempt to disrupt or gain unauthorized access to our systems
- Use DROPIN to harass, threaten, or endanger another person
- Submit spot locations that are private property with intent to encourage trespassing beyond what a reasonable rider would understand from the listing
9. Third-Party Services
DROPIN relies on third-party services to operate — including Supabase (accounts and database), Stripe (payments), Cloudflare (media storage), Firebase Cloud Messaging (push notifications on iOS/Android), OpenStreetMap (maps and geocoding), and Google (optional sign-in). Your use of features backed by these services is also subject to those providers’ own terms.
10. Termination
You can delete your account at any time by contacting us. We can suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or if we reasonably believe your use of DROPIN creates risk or legal exposure for us or other users.
11. Disclaimers
DROPIN is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don’t guarantee the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that spot/route data is accurate or current.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Disrupt Designs LLC and DROPIN won’t be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any injury, death, or property damage arising from your use of the app or any spot, route, or meet found through it.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or DROPIN will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Florida, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we’ll update the “Last updated” date above. Continuing to use DROPIN after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
